WEB EDITOR

Description -
The Web Editor is responsible for editing online articles and maintaining the website and Al-B's online presence. This includes uploading online articles and other front-end maintenance of the website. The Web Manager will also communicate with the Marketing Director and Social Media Manager to ensure that online content is marketed to its fullest potential and online readership is maximized. There Web Editor also has the option to hire 1-2 Vice Web Editors to assist in editing and maintaining the website.

Requirements -

  • College student.
  • Strong communication.
  • Ability to regularly upload articles and check website.
  • Experience with Squarespace and light HTML/CSS is a plus.


VICE COPY EDITOR

Description -
The Vice Copy Editor will serve as an understudy to the Copy Editor, and will, at the Copy Editor's direction, edit print and online articles. This includes working with writers through 2-5 rounds of edits. There will be 2-3 Vice Copy Editors working with the Copy Editor.

Requirements -

  • College student.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience in journalism, copy editing, or publications is a plus.


DIGITAL MEDIA EDITOR

Description -
The Digital Media Editor is responsible for creating digital media as a core part of our online content. They are free to hire videographers, photographers, editors, and creative planners to plan, produce, and create content. This position is fairly new and free for you to pioneer and customize as you lie. The Digital Media Editor should be in regular contact with the Social Media Director and the Web Editor.

Requirements -

  • College student.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Design and asethetic background and knowledge.
  • Experience in Final Cut or film-editing software is a plus.


FINANCE MANAGER

Description -
The Finance Manager will serve as the primary contact for all money matters for threads. Responsibilities include the following: budgeting for expenses (launch party, printing, etc.), finding/writing grant proposals for scholarships, and filling out purchase requests/orders when needed.
